John Fraser's Mediterranean dining room in The Tampa EDITION draws on his Greek heritage and a love of Turkish and French cooking. Dinner is a four-course prix fixe, vegetable-forward and built on seasonal Florida produce. Look for the snapper cataplana, rotisserie côte de boeuf and the Champagne cocktail cart.

Impressed, we’ve definitely been missing out for a few years. Food was delicious, service excellent and thoughtful meal touches throughout. The space is way smaller than I expected, and semi open to the edition lobby bar but still hidden in the landscaping. We skipped the tasting menu last second just so we could try more things that sounded good to us. Beet dish was my wife’s favorite, I loved the octopus and fish. Probably could’ve skipped the pasta, definitely the truffle egg it wasn’t super flavorful and relatively bland. Agnolottis were giant with rich sauce but again they aren’t the pasta kings here go to rocca or Olivia. Fish and duck was technically done excellent, although the marinated olives weren’t my jam for the duck but it did go. Originally they had like 3.5 Google rating so we wrote off from some poor feedback at opening, and didn’t really believe when they got the Michelin star. Now having gone when they lost the star I wonder how good it was 2 years ago at its peak.

It was good, it wasn’t above and beyond for a Michelin Star restaurant. The service itself was excellent. From the hostess to the server to management. They were extremely attentive, kind and paid attention to every detail. The food was good but we’ve had better at the same operating level of restaurant. The octopus with corn and pork belly were good- octopus cooked perfectly the corn was excellent, the pork belly was just okay- not as crisp/glazed as I’d like it to have been. The pasta with truffle and Parmesan was probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. They also offered a gluten free portion for me which was amazing. The ribeye for two was good with a nice presentation but it and the ratatouille while good lacked salt. The salad that came with the steak was great- simple but the dressing was amazing. They should have nailed the steak and they just didn’t. Overall, the experience was just good but underwhelming.

dined at Lilac last night, and the entire evening was a tour de force. From start to finish, the experience delivered the exact level of refined luxury and execution you would expect from a world-class, Michelin-caliber establishment. Every single element was a standout, beginning with the incredible amuse-bouches featuring caviar that set an elite tone for the night. The Wagyu was cooked to absolute perfection—an incredibly rich, melt-in-your-mouth dish that was worth the visit alone. What truly elevated the meal, however, was the extraordinary wine pairing list. The curation was flawless, with each selection beautifully complementing and expanding the complex flavor profiles of the courses. The service was impeccable, striking that rare and perfect balance of being highly attentive, knowledgeable, and professional without ever feeling stiff. If you are looking for a true, top-tier gastronomic experience that hits every single note, Lilac delivers on every level. An unforgettable evening.
