A corner Jewish deli in Queen Village, serving Philadelphia since 1923. Expect a large menu of hand-brined corned beef, house-smoked pastrami and matzo ball soup, made on the premises from family recipes. It's also a longtime Election Day gathering spot for local politicians.

I've been coming here since 2017 and I've honestly never had a bad meal. It's a real classic kind of place with display cases filled with baked goods, smoked fish, salads, and of course their famous cold cuts. You really can't go wrong here, but I think their Ungashtupt sandwich menu is where the magic is. There's nothing like those huge layers of fresh deli meat mixed and matched in all kinds of satisfying ways. Their platters are extremely generous, with the shrimp salad being my personal favorite. In fact, all their menu portions are generous. One of their overstuffed sandwiches can provide 3 solid meals. Last time I stopped in for a meal, they dropped a baggie of warm chocolate chip cookies on the table. The only downside here is that the service, while friendly, can be on the slow side. If you're short on time, best call your order ahead and do take out. But it's always worth it.

What an incredible first experience at 4th Street Deli! I felt like we stepped back in time which was magical. We tried many things and loved them all - corned beef Reuben, stuffed cabbages, potato pancakes, kishka, cheese kugel and fried krepich. We also brought home some goodies - chocolate chip cookies, coconut macaroons, apple strudel and an eclair! The portions are LARGE and you'll get multiple meals out of your dishes! Absolutely incredible and I can't wait to go back.

Traveled from TX knowing my husband and I had to try this legendary place! Ordered a philly, but it was the huge one you find youtube reviews on. It had pastrami, mushroom, cheese, onions, and brisket on a warm toasted loaf. Sandwich was huge! Split it with my husband and we didnt even finish half of our half. Cant wait to go back and try more the next time I'm in NJ. Service was great and the deli took you back in time. Only regret is that I didn't order a dessert to go.
