Dizengoff

There’s not much to say about Mediterranean fare that hasn’t been said before. With that in mind, Dizengoff’s hummus was one of the best I’ve ever tried. Smooth and silky, not overpowered by any flavor. Located a couple of blocks from city hall, this Bib Gourmand restaurant has a warm and bright atmosphere and good service. Everything felt fresh and prepared with care.

We went on a Sunday evening around 6pm. We didn’t need to wait. Food was good. My husband loved the chicken. Not in photos is the frozen pink lemonade which was good but was in a very small glass - not a good value. I liked the lamb platter. The haminado egg was just okay. EDIT - went back on a Saturday and had the brunch item and for me, the Beef Shoulder. Food was great and the service even better. We asked for a glass of ice and our server thoughtfully refilled it.

Great Israeli restaurant deserving of the Michelin Bib Gourmand! Everything we tried was great! The pita was super fluffy, hummus super creamy, shakshuka seasoned well, and the butterflied fish was cooked perfectly. Beautiful interior design in the restaurant too. Prices were very reasonable. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Philly!
