A small Bed-Stuy cantina modeled on Mexico City, with communal tables and nostalgic, family-style plates led by chef Jael Lopez, who cooked at Cosme and Eleven Madison Park. Look for chicharrón preparado, eggplant milanesa and grilled branzino with morita salsa, plus agave cocktails and micheladas.

Visited this new neighborhood gem on Saturday for brunch. We had Resy’s so we were able to walk right in and get seated right away. Everything about our experience was A1 starting with the service from Luca who was the right mix of conversational, knowledgeable about the menu and drinks to the most important attentive. They really felt like an old homie who had invited us over to their crib for brunch. The place was beautiful and felt like we had been transported to Mexico City! The tables and chairs looked custom and fit the space perfectly. Everything we ate was AMAZING! That sandwich with the fried egg on top 🤤🤤🤤 I also had this NA drink made with my favorite bevvy Topo Chico, fresh lime and a salted rim. Ahhhh so refreshing. I definitely will be back. Go here!!!

We dined here for brunch and were blown away. The chorizo torta was one of the best sandwiches I’d ever had. Highly recommend the French toast too! They made us a custom horchata based cocktail with cold foam that also blew me away. Gorgeous furnishings and incredibly kind staff as well. I can’t wait to come back!

We didn't have plans on a Friday evening and realized Olmo was only a 20-minute walk away. Put our names on the Resy standby list for 7:30 and got a table inside by 8. That alone set the tone, relaxed, no pressure, pleasant surprise. The neighborhood is still very much ungentrified Bed-Stuy, so the walk over might catch you off guard. But step inside and it's a different world. Intimate, a little dark, small tables close together. The kind of room where everyone around you seems to be having a good time, which tells you something. We ordered two mains, one dessert, and a cocktail each. The drinks were consistent and well-balanced, not exciting, but nothing out of place either. Sweetness, bitterness, sourness all in check. The tequila and agave menu is extensive if that's your thing. The branzino was the standout. Well-cooked, great flavor, no complaints. The steak came out medium rare as requested, but it was missing a hard crust. No real sear, no char , just the interior temp without anything on the outside to elevate it. It sat over black refried beans with a chimol and a bright green sauce on the side. The green sauce was actually great. But the dish needed something starchy to round it out. The tortillas arrive wrapped in cloth and look beautiful. Three small flour tortillas per order. They didn't taste house-made, and they got cold before we finished the mains. Small detail, but noticeable. The apple pie — pay de manzana — was a different story. Presentation and taste were both excellent. Best thing we ordered. Service was solid. Nothing that stood out, nothing that disappointed. Total for two came to $135, which is pretty normal for a date night in NYC. Worth it for what you get, though the steak needs work for the price point. Olmo has a Michelin Bib Gourmand and you can feel why. It's not perfect, but it's doing something distinct. Would go back, especially to try more of the menu. 4 out of 5 stars.
