Chef Chung Chow, raised on O'ahu and trained in French technique, cooks modern Hawaiian food in an intimate East Village dining room. Look for elevated takes on island staples like musubi, pork belly and fried rice, alongside a wine list strong on France, plus sakes and craft beers.

Great food and a great vibe, I actually don’t think Ive been to a dedicated Hawaiian restaurant before so this was really nice! Started with three of the Musubi. The Yellowtail was incredibly fresh with a touch of yuzu that was awesome. The Spicy Salmon was good but kinda standard. The Galbi was stellar, had a nice flavor to the meat and the kimchi delish. Got the Mochiko Chicken Loco Moco. Lots of tastes that work so well together here from the gravy to the breading to the egg. I actually didn’t even realize this had a macaroni salad because I started eating from the rice side so the macaroni was a nice surprise and it was so good. If I had to give one critique though Id say that the breading did not stay on the chicken when you cut into it so it was hard to get both in one bite! Also got dessert because Macademia is my favorite nut but for some reason I never thought to put it in a brownie, so when I saw the Macademia Brownie I knew I had to have it. Brownie itself was fire, it had the taste and texture of a dense brownie but it was not dense itself if that makes sense. Also it came with coconut ice cream but I saw Thai Tea ice cream on the menu and asked for that instead and they provided! DEEEEELISHHHHH that ice cream was perfection. So concentrated and creamy and the perfect thai tea flavor YUM. The vibe inside was curated so well and the playlist was actually really good!

This restaurant for mas a great find. Luckily I got a table without reservation. But reservation is truly recommended. The atmosphere is amazing and the service was excellent. The menu is just amazing. The mosubis was perfect. Both the oyster and scallops just melt in your mouth. And then the gnocchi with Spanish octopus was superb. The flavors were amazing. And for dessert the macadamia brownie with coconut ice cream was just perfect. The combination of flavors was just perfect. Highly recommend restaurant. Great atmosphere.

Amazing first experience with Hawaiian food! It was our first time trying Hawaiian cuisine and we absolutely loved it. Every dish was fantastic, and the service was top-notch—everyone was super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
