Chef Ope Amosu's Montrose restaurant brings West African cooking to Houston in a colorful, art-filled room, with plates, bowls and cocktails. Come for the Polo Club suya, beef skewers dusted with yaji peanut-pepper spice, and the Golden Bowl of smoky jollof jambalaya, curry and stewed plantains.

It was our first visit here EVERYTHING was a 10/10! From the balanced yet strong drinks, the flavor filled appetizers and entrees. Don't skip the dessert it was delicious! Our server Tiffany was amazing made great recommendations and helped us curate our bowls to perfection! This experience, ambiance, and service was top tier!

Kalyn is amazing! I’ve ordered from here and the post location before, but I never sat down to eat here before. It’s an amazing vibe! The food, the colors, the interior designs, and the amazing team they have here make it a culinary experience! I felt transported to west Africa in each bite. She brought out a cake for my birthday on the house. This location is my favorite, the golden bowl is also my favorite meal here! They are on the toast app so you can get points, they are also on open table so you can reserve in advance. I can’t recommend this location enough. The atmosphere is so inviting, the food is so delicious, you won’t want to leave! They have 2 bathrooms that have the vacant/occupied lock. An indoor seating, outdoor patio, and a bar area. The interior design is very intentional, from the wallpaper to the books to the artisan crafted wooded bar!

Very nice place. It’s is best to reserve but if you do not there will be a mini wait time. Atmosphere is nice. Staff are very friendly and informative. They offered us a sample table which basically had the sauces. The rices. Everything was well flavored and season. Kayla was the best server! 10/10 highly recommended
