A quick and creamy one-pan pasta dish with seared chicken breast, pappardelle, and a tomato basil cream sauce.

## Ingredients (serves 4)

- 1 lb chicken breast
- 3 tbsp butter
- ⅓ cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp chopped oregano
- ½ large onion, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 8 oz pappardelle
- 1 cup tomato basil pasta sauce

## Steps

1. Add butter to your pan and cook your seasoned chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through
2. Set the cooked chicken to the side
3. Add your chopped onion and more butter to your pan and sauté for 2 minutes
4. Add your fresh oregano, tomato sauce, and heavy cream, then cook for another 2 minutes until bubbly
5. Add your parmesan cheese and cooked pappardelle and stir until combined
6. Slice the chicken breast
7. Top the pasta with your sliced chicken breast and enjoy!

## Good to know

### Swaps

- No pappardelle? Use fettuccine or tagliatelle for a similar wide-noodle texture.
- No heavy cream? Half-and-half works, though the sauce will be a bit thinner.
- No chicken breast? Boneless chicken thighs work; cook until cooked through with no pink inside.

### Storing it

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3–4 days. Reheat on the stove until steaming hot, adding a splash of water or cream to loosen the sauce.

### Making it ahead

Chop the onion and slice the raw chicken up to a day ahead and keep refrigerated until ready to cook.
